This Privacy Notice explains how Unisium AS collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use unisium.io, the Unisium app, or contact us about our services.

1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including:
- name and email address when you join the mailing list, contact us, or create an account;
- account and authentication information needed to sign you in and manage access;
- information you choose to send us in messages, forms, or support requests.
We also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system;
- basic usage and diagnostic logs;
- site and app interaction data collected through cookies or similar technologies when enabled.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- operate the website, app, and user accounts;
- deliver requested services and respond to messages or support requests;
- manage mailing-list subscriptions and send service or product emails you have asked to receive;
- monitor security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues;
- understand aggregate usage and improve the service when analytics are enabled;
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue our legitimate interests in running and improving Unisium, or because you have given consent.
If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time for future processing by contacting privacy@unisium.io.
4. When we share information
We share personal information only when it is needed to run the service, comply with law, or protect Unisium. Depending on how you use the service, this may include the following categories of providers:
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- database and authentication providers;
- analytics providers, if you allow analytics cookies;
- consent-management providers that store and honor your privacy choices.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for a limited set of purposes:
- essential cookies needed to operate the site or app, keep sessions secure, and remember basic settings;
- consent-management tools so we can store and respect your cookie choices;
- analytics tools, if you choose to allow them, to understand site usage and improve the service.
The public website uses Termly to manage cookie consent and preferences. When analytics are enabled for the site and permitted by your consent choices where required, we may also use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand site usage. We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting cookies, or abandoned-cart reminders on the website.
You can update your preferences through the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer or through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the service work.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process personal information outside Norway, including in the EEA, UK, and United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this notice, including account operation, security, legal compliance, and record-keeping. When we no longer need the information, we delete or anonymize it unless we are required to keep it by law.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to limit access, reduce risk, and respond to security issues when they arise.
9. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@unisium.io and we will review the request.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to our processing of your personal information, and in some cases to receive a copy of your data.
To make a request, email privacy@unisium.io. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
If you believe we are processing your personal information unlawfully, you can also complain to Datatilsynet in Norway or, where applicable, to your local data protection authority.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
